Eutrochium purpureum, commonly known as sweetscented Joe Pye weed, is a tall, perennial wildflower native to moist woodlands and meadows in eastern North America. It produces dome shaped clusters of pale pink to purplish flowers atop sturdy stems that can reach up to seven feet, often tinged with purple. Known for its sweet vanilla-like fragrance, it attracts a variety of pollinators, including butterflies and bees, making it a valuable plant for native gardens.
