Description
Quercus Rubra – Northern Red Oak
It’s pretty easy to differentiate between Northern Red Oak (Quercus Rubra) and White Oak (Quercus Alba) – the red oak leaves are pointy on the tips, and the white oak leaves are lobed. One night my 6 year old daughter and I read a book that stated this fact, and the we went outside with our flashlights to determine if we have red and/or white oak trees in our neighborhood. We have reds.
