Callirhoe digitata, commonly known as fringed poppy mallow or winecup, is an upright, clumpforming
perennial wildflower native to the central United States, especially in dry prairies and
open woodlands. It features deeply lobed, palmate leaves and striking, cup-shaped magenta
flowers with a dark center, blooming from late spring into summer. This drought-tolerant plant is
a valuable nectar source for native bees and butterflies and adds vivid color to sunny, welldrained
landscapes.
