At Native Plants Coloring Books, we’re always exploring creative ways to bring nature closer to your everyday life — one line at a time. In our last post, we unveiled a fun new idea: coloring shirts. These special shirts are designed with bold, clean native plant illustrations you can fill in yourself using washable fabric markers or tie-dye. They’ve already sparked ideas for wearable art projects, tie-dye overlays, and even community workshops.
But why stop there?
Introducing: Coloring Mugs
We’re now launching another exciting product — coloring mugs! These ceramic mugs come printed with the same nature-inspired line art you’ve come to love, and they’re designed to be colored using washable markers. That means you can customize your mug every morning — and wipe it clean whenever you’re ready for a fresh design.
✨ Draw. Sip. Erase. Repeat.
Whether you’re a plant enthusiast, a mindful doodler, or a parent looking for screen-free activities, these mugs bring a touch of wildflower joy into your coffee break or tea time.
Why We Do This
Coloring isn’t just for kids. Research has shown that coloring can reduce stress, boost creativity, and help people of all ages slow down and reconnect — with themselves and the natural world. Our designs, based on native plants of North America, encourage awareness of local ecosystems while offering a hands-on artistic experience.
From coloring books to coloring shirts, and now coloring mugs, we’re transforming familiar products into interactive botanical canvases — each one celebrating regional ecology and seasonal inspiration.
Join the Movement
We’re not just making products — we’re creating a community of coloring naturalists. So whether you’re tie-dyeing a Symphyotrichum novae-angliae t-shirt or sipping tea from a hand-colored Asclepias tuberosa mug, you’re helping to cultivate a new kind of nature education — one that’s tactile, joyful, and ever-changing.
